The provincial capital of St. Pölten is approx. 25 km (northwest) away, the market town of Böheimkirchen approx. 11 km. The federal capital Vienna is approx. 40 km northeast of Stössing.
The village has a post bus connection with Böheimkirchen (station on the Westbahn line) and once a day to St. Pölten.
The nearest train station is Böheimkirchen (11 km). Provincial road 110, which runs through the village, connects to provincial road 119 (Altlengbach - Hainfeld) and provincial road 129 (Böheimkirchen - St. Pölten). In Plosdorf (municipality of Böheimkirchen) there is a junction to the Westautobahn (A1).
St. Pölten can be reached by car in approx. 30 minutes, Vienna in approx. 45 minutes.
